Amish in six months - Villa Hilton
How far have we come after six months. Kristian who have stayed with us a few months now are now apartment hunting - he believes we live so damned Amish. Nymoderne commodities such as light, hwt heat, and other functional units functioning as modern kitchen and laundry, are definitely still partly scarce with us. About our Stone Age existence hwt is his main motivation to move can not be determined fully - our internet connection works namely hwt almost flawlessly up to several times a month - and this certainly covers 99% of his technical bekvemelighetsbehov. But by all means, it is digg dropping hwt our manic lives and our mentally ill mentality. If we take stock of how far we have come, then the following are mentioned: Insulation of the basement floor - not started hwt Insulation of attic - not commenced hwt installation of heat - not started, however, our one paraffin been taken out of service and that we have some electric heaters poorer. This winter was cruel, next is unbearable hwt Renovation of the kitchen hwt - not started, we still have no hot water (just a sink), we have a freezer that does not close without counterweight front door, a cooker with sufficient energy, a washing hwt machine that leaks and otherwise 100% crappy Structure of laundry - started, but completion date unknown. The laundry hwt room can currently not be used other than stock. Acting laundry room is a basement that is partially filled with stones after spike up parts of the floor for the closure of the tube. Access is via a steep staircase through the trapdoor in the kitchen, over a pile of rocks, over a ditch, and overnight one pile and assorted junk. The clothes are often cleaner on the way down than on the way up. Reshuffle the annex to bedsit - started with the original plan to move tomorrow. If the earliest hwt completed in a week or two and then becomes the jeveste part of the property (pity that it is not us who will be staying there, but Mary's father and girlfriend when they are home from his circumnavigation) Renewal or replacement of inngansdører - not started hwt Bad - here are two bathrooms ferdigstilts 90%, with only a few småfiks as ventilation, new skylight and bathroom garnish left power in the living room - not started, but meters of extension cables (tripwires) does the job Children - one partially completed. Here is Kristian living, and is currently the finest and most functional room in the house New electrics - just at the start of a new electrical cubicle with temporary circuits for cooker, etc. Not full course numbers, and too little power to the stove, etc. Thomas Edison ... had been embarrassed. hwt New pipes - 90% complete drainage - not started, but a hole in the foundation as a result of renewal of pipes Renewal other surfaces such as floors, walls and ceilings in the rest of the house - not started Rehabilitation of outbuildings - not started Furnishings - only two sofas acquired, otherwise only Loppis furniture and various makeshift devices 50 "flat screen tv - acquired and 100% operational
In summary, we have spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars and gone backwards. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. Going allt scheduled, we have both the kitchen hwt and the laundry room by the end of July.

Oops. It was quite a list. Interesting that the TV is so high on the list. Such was the case in her son's house too .. We had to cover with plastic to take the final coat on the ceiling. The only consolation is that this time next summer this is going to be amazing stories.
Maria will have knock law, Joachim want wharf, both will have a wood-fired hot tub in the garden - but none of us have money.
