From professional-quality juicers to designer enameled mixers to dinosaur-shaped egg timers, your food prep area is likely to contain the widest array of gizmos this side of a Sharper Image catalog. But they all surround a single focal point: the refrigerator, that marvelous, ubiquitous monolith into which we peak and peer, as often for sustenance as for nothing at all. Like Kubrick s famous australopithecines, we crouch before it. Unlike 2001 s onyx monument, the Frigidaire FGHF2366PF is no great enigma. It s just a very nice fridge with some well-designed convenience features, a decent enough capacity, and, with a $2899 retail price, a price tag that doesn t overshadow its humble utility. Hands on video You d be hard-pressed to pick the French-doored Frigidaire out of a lineup iron alongside its similarly designed competitors. Most share an identical configuration of two symmetrically sized doors occupying the top two thirds of a stainless-steel face, with a sliding freezer door at the base. The FGHF2366PF also contains the relatively common through-the-door ice and filtered-water iron dispenser, which offers the classic options of crushed or cubed ice and chilled water. The dispenser s accompanying light can be toggled on or off but does not feature any sort of automatic night light mode. Topping the water dispenser is the refrigerator iron s touch-sensitive interface, which consists of 11 capacitive control keys, a segmented LCD for temperature readout, and a series of LED signal indicators that provide efficient and legible feedback. There is neither iron an LCD touchscreen nor Wi-Fi connectivity; however, iron unless you are replacing a unit that already touted these features, you re unlikely to miss them. It s fairly stocky, coming in at 36 inches wide by 70 inches tall, with a depth of 28 inches. (It s 31 inches if you measure out to the handles.) The surrounding cabinet iron is dark grey to blend with the door s stainless steel, and the doors themselves curve out in a soft arc. Its counter-depth dimensions mean that it should form an ideal fit with your surrounding cabinetry. External build quality is excellent overall. The heavy doors swing open gracefully and close with a satisfying seal. The freezer drawer is weighty but slides evenly. The one slight lapse in fit and finish is the coaster-like tray at the base of the dispenser, which does feel somewhat loose and tends to shift with very little effort. The stainless-steel surfaces boast Frigidaire iron s Smudge-Proof coating, which does an excellent job of keeping that handsome finish free of bothersome iron fingerprints. Space re-earned with adaptability Though its 22-cubic-foot capacity comes in at the lower end of its competition (LG s and Samsung s comparably priced models sport 27.6 and 28.1 cubic feet, respectively), you wouldn t think it to glance inside. The primary fresh food section seems voluminous and is easily organizable. You ll have no trouble fitting your pizza-party leftovers in the Frigidaire s modest confines. The whole interior is evenly and invitingly lit and offers three different levels iron of brightness. There are six spill-proof glass shelves, the top four of which hang via cantilever hooks and are adjustable iron to accommodate any irregular-sized groceries. iron The center two shelves even slide outward to offer easier access to the fridge s deeper contents. The top two shelves each operate differently, with the left one tipping up 90 degrees and the right one sliding halfway inward to accommodate taller items stored below. The two interior crisper iron drawers each take up half of the interior width, are sturdy, iron draw out easily, and don t wobble when they re fully open. They also each sport their own humidity adjusters, which themselves toggle and slide without the barest squeak. Underneath the crispers, at the interior s lowest iron edge, is a full-width deli drawer. The icemaker occupies the interior s upper leftmost corner, and the ice storage bucket iron slides out with the aid of a front-situated handle. It s an intuitive enough configuration, but the front-facing handle combined with the bucket s deep configuration requires the user to support the bucket from the bottom or risk spilling its contents. The right door contains four bins, the top of which has a clear, raise-able shield for dairy or eggs. The lower three bins are each deep enough to hold a two-gallon container of milk, are easily removable and adjustable, and replace with a pleasant iron and decisive snap. The left door h

I told you guys in this post that I was lucky enough to be chosen to “test-drive” this awesome new refrigerator and I jumped at the chance. I’ve had it for over a month now and I am just loving all the amazing features it has to offer. Some of the shortfalls of my previous fridge are answered in this new fridge. I am just loving this store-more drawer. In my previous fridge, this drawer was less than half this size. It was smaller and deeper and I was always forgetting what I had in there. The kids love it too because they can easily see what snacks are in there and just grab and go. It’s perfect. First off, I love the Space-Saving Ready-Select Side controls. They are so easy to access and allows me to change the temperature easily and efficiently. The Superior LED lighting is a great bonus over the old burnt-old standard lightbulb in my old refrigerator. I can actually see my food again! It uses less energy and it looks great too! And let’s not forget about the “door ajar” alarm. Did your kids grab and snack and forget to close the door? This fridge has an alarm to remind you that the door is not closed. What a brilliant feature that we have already needed to use several times since we’ve had it. Makes me wonder how many times my previous fridge’s door was opened and I had no idea! You see that separation in the glass there in the picture?! That’s the Store-More Slide-Under Flip-Up shelf. It’s a mouthful, but it sure can do a lot. Got something large to store in your fridge – like a super tall bottle, or how about a cake on a stand? We had a pretty basic fridge when we moved into our town house 6 years ago. Some shelves, 2 crisper drawers, and basic shelves on the door. One open freezer at the top (no shelves except for the ones on the door). Our new Frigidaire Gallery® Custom-Flex™ Refrigerator has several different features that we are really excited about and I wanted to share those with you today! The first thing is the Smudge-Proof™ Stainless Steel . Ken and I have talked before about how we want to have stainless steel appliances someday rentex when we graduate from renting, to a home where we'll have to provide our own appliances. So we were excited about this fridge being the first in our collection (unless you count my mixer). I hear, however, that regular stainless steel is not fun in the fingerprint department and we certainly have potential for a lot of those! Lucky for us, this fridge has a special protective coating that resists fingerprints and smudges so that it’s rentex easy to clean- that's my kind of fridge! So, we've gone from regular white to stainless steel, and the bonus with this smudge-proof stainless steel is that it's still magnetic, so I can still use my calendar ;) Next up is the Store-More™ Drawer . I love this drawer for storing cheese (because we like to stock up on it when it's on sale) and sandwich meats. It's a very wide drawer and perfect for those low-profile items that you need to store but would prefer not to put on your shelves with more height available! Before this fridge, we were limited to very basic shelves & if something was too tall to fit (like a pop bottle), we had to store it on its side and hope that it wouldn't leak! My definite favourite feature of this new fridge is the Store-More™ Slide-Under Flip-Up Shelf . It is so cool! It can be used 3 ways: 1. Full Shelf 2. Half Shelf (allowing room for taller items on the shelf below- like that bottle of sparkling grape juice in the photo below) 3. Full Height: It can flip up and leave a full shelf below it with tons of height! rentex See that bright white rectangular shape in the top, left corner of the photo above? That's the Superior LED Lighting. It keeps the fridge & freezer bright (making it easy to find food) but uses less energy. Right beside that bright rectangle, you can see the Space-Saving Ready-Select® Side Controls. They're super easy to reach (way better than having them at the back, hidden behind food) and include a door ajar alarm (which I experienced while taking photos for this post.. rentex haha :) I'm glad it has that because my kids are known to not quite close the fridge sometimes! :) So those are some of the awesome features, beyond the Custom-Flex Door with Sliding Bins and Accessories (my other favourite feature!) which I already touched on in a previous post about fridge organization . Not only does this give it a clean look, but the flat, even surface is easier to clean, as well. Do keep in mind that Frigidaire's so-called "smudge free" stainless trends a bit darker than other manufacturer's metallic finishes, though. The interior hosts Frigidaire's OrbitClean circular spray arm. It spins at the end of the washarm on a secondary axis, like a planet's moon, and helps clean items that are hidden away in corners. There are many dishwashers that allow you to adjust the height of the upper rack, and the FGID2474QS is no exception. However, this Frigidaire lets you do it without levers, buttons, handles bar centrale or switches you simply lift the entire rack until it clicks in place, and lift it again to lower it. We also noticed that on Normal Wash and Power Plus, there were virtually no instances of redeposit the official name for when food gets washed off dirty dishes and onto clean ones during a wash. In fact, the Normal Wash removed most of the spinach we use to test for redeposit. Even the sticky oatmeal and dried milk stains were almost completely gone. The Power Plus cycle did even better with these stains, as well as with the burnt sugar, burnt cheese, and baked-on lasagna we threw at it. We’ve had our Frigidaire Gallery Custom-Flex Top Freezer Refrigerator for over a month now and I must admit, I HEART IT very much! I’m not kidding. It’s like this refrigerator was made just for me, oups.. I mean my family! I suppose dryer parts anyone who owns it thinks the same thing, with over 100 ways to organize it, it’s sure to fit every family’s needs. I love that the door is completely customizable to my family’s needs . I’m really impressed with the choices of bins. BONUS: The bins are really dryer parts easy to move around. I had to move the bins around this weekend for Emanuelle’s birthday to accommodate the extra beverages. Easy as 1-2-3. Superior dryer parts LED Lighting When we plugged in the refrigerator and opened it for the first time, I was blown away! I have never seen such a well-lit refrigerator. And there’s even a light in the freezer!! I LOVE the lighting, we can easily see everything in the fridge and the freezer. Store-More Drawer This is a dream come true!! It flips into three different positions in order to accommodate taller items. I had it pulled out like a traditional dryer parts shelf this weekend, in order to safely store Emanuelle’s birthday cake. Sure wish I would have taken a photo! Space-Saving Ready-Select Side Controls The controls are conveniently placed on the side of the refrigerator. No more moving everything around in order to get to the back of the refrigerator to change the temperature. YAY! It also has a garage ready feature, of course dryer parts my fridge will not be going in the garage… it has a nice cozy home in my kitchen. haha Oh and don’t forget the door ajar alarm! Her fridge is stainless steel but is not smudge-proof, which she says is really annoying! I’m happy to report that she was unable to leave a smudge! YAY! Even with everyone over on Saturday for Emanuelle’s dryer parts birthday, in and out of the refrigerator.. absolutely no smudges! Before leaving for school yesterday, as Gabrielle grabbed a snack from the refrigerator for school, she says to herself (out loud)… I love this fridge! I’ve never had an organized refrigerator. When we get home with the groceries, we basically ekar de gas just shove what we bought wherever we find a hole. I was really looking forward to playing around with the bins to see which we would place where. They demonstrate different configurations for 3 common lifestyle types (Families, Active, and Entertainers).
